A Little Sunday Downtown Trip

My litte downtown Toronto Sunday evening trip:
Planned: Lower Bay (Ghost) Station
Unplanned: IceFest @ Yorkville

Uh, yeah … so “normal” people most probably would plan to see the IceFest and then (maybe) take the subway to check out the ghost station since they're practically there. Apparently my curiousity to see the Lower Bay station was far greater than to see the ice sculptures .. LOL!

So, JW and I went to check them out.

The TTC is doing some tunnel construction last weekend and a few weekends in March, so they close the Bay station and re-route the trains to pass through the old and unused – except for movies – (oh, and haunted – so they say) Lower Bay station. My train from Yonge/Bloor station to Museum station stopped at the Lower Bay station for a bit, and it was actually a bit strange being there. Nobody on the platform, veeeeeeeery quiet. Ugh, yeah, wouldn't want to be there alone.

The other experience was not that eerie … the IceFest @ Yorkville. LOL.

And I thought this one is cute:

More pics of the IceFest in the Album section … :)

  • Oh, so you didn’t run into the TTC Lower Bay Station serial killer? His name is Chucky, a 2 foot male child doll… possessed by the soul of a psycho serial killer. But he won’t harm you if you give him a box of Krispy Kremes…
