Perseids meteor shower tonight (begins at 10 p.m.). But apparently, the best viewing times are on Friday morning 3 a.m to 4 a.m.
Northern Lights… my viewing adventure was a bust. Nothing, nada, zilch. Bummer. I stayed up all night and went to sleep at 6 a.m.
I just went outside… and saw 2 shooting stars streaking down the night sky… within a span of 15 minutes! SO COOL! I think I WILL stay up to 4 a.m. to star gaze.
To bad I have a sucky camera.
@fruity: Haha. I should’ve come over to your place! Then I could stay up until 4AM. Hmm .. next year?
We went to David Dunlap Observatory, tons of people, and I only saw 5 or 6 meteors within 1 hour. Will check what’s on my camera tomorrow .. I don’t think I got any of them in the picture though … sigh!
