Today is Halloween. It is the evening before the “All Hallows' Day” (“All Saints Day” — which is tomorrow November 1st) … it is also the day when (some) people get dressed in costumes of any kind, go around the neighbourhood yelling “Trick or Treat” to their neighbours, and collecting these (or any other edible things like these
):

There are a lot of pumpkin carvings (apparently watermelon is not scary enough, read the comment for this blog .. lol!) too (saw one house with a lot of pumpkin carvings in the news last night) .. so, I decided to go and find some scary pumpkins (yeah, as if this week being the first week I get to keep the “rotating” pager from work is not scary enough!
). I didn't find a lot of pumpkin carvings up on Main Street in Unionville, but there's a house there with some neat Halloween decorations (and yes, I did actually ask for permission to take pics):

And check out that guy under the guillotine .. hahaha .. I didn't even realize he posed for my camera. I just realized it when I got home (there's an extra head in this pic than in the other guillotine pics .. lol!). Funny guy! I wonder if I should print the pic out and send it to the house.
Then as I was walking along the Main St, I saw this spooky building across the street ……

….. it turned out to be a church — so technically it can't be categorized as “spooky” (Whoops!). Hmmm .. but then again, sometimes I find old (or old-looking) buildings a bit spooky .. hehe.
Even some of the trees looked a bit scary …

We don't have Halloween back in Indonesia. Which is good, I think. I wouldn't want to bump into the real ghosts (yikes!)… you know, the country being mysterious and all — there are a lot of ghost stories there (different kind of ghosts too — hmm .. don't ask!).
Next year, I'll check out that crazy house in the Beach area (somewhere on Joseph Duggan Road .. if I heard it correctly from the news just now).
But now that Halloween is over .. HERE COMES CHRISTMAS!!!

Neat pics. My favourite is the tree leaves.
