So according to the news .. the Northern Lights may be visible from here. Exciting!!
But with all the light pollution that we have, what’s the chance of seeing one?

Chasing Reflections

I took this picture in 2005, when we were in Yosemite Park. It was a very quick decision to take the picture because we were leaving to go to another spot in the park. I took it just because it looked interesting .. didn’t think too much about the light, positioning, etc. LOL!
When I look at the picture now, I can see the inside of the van, wordings on the window on the other side of the van, and a reflection of a stop sign.

I’ve never thought of the picture again until today .. when I read Chasing Reflections, the latest addition to Craft & Vision eBook library.
Actually, I seldom take “reflection” photos unless it involves water … sad, I know. LOL. After reading the eBook, I thought to myself that I could use some of the pointers in there and have more fun with reflections (not just water reflection ). So .. all I have to do now is .. make time to actually go out and take pictures…

Kenya Safari

Kenya. I’ve never been to Kenya (and maybe never .. although I shouldn’t say “never” ).
Safari. I’ve never been on a real Safari. The only ones I’ve been were “Taman Ria Safari” in Indonesia and “African Lion Safari” in Hamilton, Ontario .. so, not exactly “real”. LOL.
Real wildlife animals (not in zoos) that I’ve seen are limited to squirrels, chipmunks, a little fox, snakes, bugs and a few deers:

Toronto Rogers Chinese Lantern Festival

I just realized that I didn’t have any post about the Rogers Chinese Lantern Festival in 2008. I posted the pictures on flickr, but not here. Why was that? Hmmmmm..
It was the third one and also the last one that we had here in Toronto. They didn’t have it in 2009, and it turned out that it apparently had been cancelled indefinitely. Sad. I was hoping they would have it this year, until I googled about it. So, just to make myself feel better, I thought I post some pictures from 2008.

It was an interesting mix of objects in 2008, we had buildings from around the world and all sorts of animals (the pandas were back! ). You can see them on my flickr set, but here are some of them:

In the past few months, I’ve been following David duChemin’s blog … check out his blog on “Suck-Mode” or “Confessions of a So-Called PRO“. I feel better.
